Herrero likes to experiment with film and creating different, contrasting textures. For this purpose, she carefully plans her juxtapositions and enjoys imagining how the final results might be. This brings her to produce unusual portrait combinations of her subjects and their environment. She is also fascinated by the imperfections film has to offer, which in her opinion make results more interesting to look at.
