A recurrent theme of Fanning’s work is collective memory and shared imaginings, often taking the form of landscapes. In assemblages Fanning consider delusions and insecurities, often referencing games. Fanning has an ongoing interest in the social and cultural impacts of all things Digital and Cyber, and blogs about these as well as giving the occasional seminar talks.
