Over the last decade Turner has collected motifs that she repeats at random: flora, fauna and  household objects. They are chosen for how they remind her of connections to certain places which have unique character and history, and for the accumulated memory of the generations of people who have lived, worked or shaped a particular place; a changing social and physical landscape. The Series of screen prints ‘Imaginary Landscape’ inspired by lithographs ‘Birds of America’ James Audubon ‎1827–1838. Many of the documented birds are now extinct/in danger of extinction. Therefore they live only on paper and our imagination.
